Hop Lun Apparel Limited recently organised a comprehensive “Seasonal Disease Prevention and Awareness Sessio” at its factory premises in partnership with BRAC Healthcare.
The initiative provided workers with free medical check-ups as well as expert guidance on disease prevention, hygiene, and healthy living to safeguard their overall health and well-being, reads a press release.
During the session, workers underwent screenings for blood sugar, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels. Any individuals diagnosed with adverse health conditions were immediately provided medical treatment by Hop Lun’s in-house medical team.
Additionally, two healthcare professionals from BRAC Healthcare conducted interactive sessions with the workers, advising them on preventing common illnesses, knowing when to consult a doctor, and effective ways to maintain overall health at home and in the workplace.
They discussed how health and work are deeply connected and how personal physical fitness is key to both professional performance and personal life.
BRAC Healthcare Ltd QA and Patient Experience Manager Dr Tahmid Hasan Probad said, “Through this partnership, we wanted to deliver quality healthcare access for workers and create health awareness among them. We firmly believe that a healthy worker thrives in the workplace with greater ease.”
Hop Lun Bangladesh Social Initiatives Head Gulshan Ara added, “The physical and mental well-being of our workers is one of our top priorities. With this initiative, we aimed to make essential medical support more accessible for our workers and to equip them with the knowledge they need in order to maintain proper health.”
Hop Lun Apparel Limited remains dedicated to prioritising worker well-being and continuing such health and welfare initiatives across its facilities in the future.
