Md Ruhul Amin, the headmaster of Nukali Multilateral High School in Sirajganj, has been suspended after a video showing him in an intoxicated and indecent state leaked on social media. The incident also received media attention.
Amin was seen in the now viral footage behaving indecently and speaking incoherently while under the influence of alcohol.
After learning the incident, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon directed the relevant authorities to take immsediate action. The authorities noted that such conduct is offensive, immoral, and illegal, and has severely tarnished the dignity of the teaching community.
Consequently, in accordance with the Service Rules for Teachers of Recognised Private Secondary Schools, 1979, Amin has been suspended for actions deemed contrary to professional discipline. His Monthly Pay Order (MPO) has been stayed until further notice.
