Two new publications titled “Naba Diganta” and “Cucsu Nirbachita Prabandhasamagra” were unveiled under the initiative of Chittagong University Central Students’ Union (Cucsu) on Thursday.

The unveiling ceremony was held at Cucsu office on the university campus.

The book “Naba Diganta” highlights the thoughts and perspectives of Chittagong University students regarding science.

Meanwhile, “Cucsu Nirbachita Prabandhasamagra” compiles essays written by university teachers and leaders of various affiliated organisations, serving as a written record to document Cucsu’s diverse activities and initiatives.

Addressing the event, Cucsu Vice President (VP) Ibrahim Hossain Roni stressed the necessity of creating visible, lasting outcomes.

“I strongly believe that whenever you invest in something, you always expect to reap its benefits. However, if the result of an investment is not visible or clear, or if you can only feel it, it may prove short-lived,” he said.

He added, “The most appealing aspect to me is leaving behind work that endures. Since the beginning of Cucsu’s term, I have consistently urged every secretary to leave behind something tangible – something people can touch and see even after 20 or 50 years, acknowledging that it was accomplished during Cucsu’s tenure.”
