Harry Styles has rewritten Wembley Stadium history after completing a record-breaking run of 12 sold-out concerts, surpassing milestones previously set by Taylor Swift and Coldplay.
According to the BBC, the 32-year-old singer now holds the record for the most concerts performed at Wembley by any artist in a single year, as well as the most shows by a solo artist during one concert run. His Together, Together tour began its London residency on 12 June and concluded on Saturday.
The residency was initially scheduled for six nights but doubled to 12 performances following overwhelming demand from fans. The achievement eclipses Coldplay’s 10-show run at the stadium last summer and Taylor Swift’s eight Wembley concerts in 2024.
During the final show, attended by around 80,000 fans, Styles paid an emotional tribute to his former One Direction bandmates. Reflecting on his journey, he said he would not have reached the stage without “four friends” who had been a huge part of his life. He thanked Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and “my dear friend Liam” for their friendship and everything they shared together, adding that none of his success would have been possible without them.
One Direction was formed in 2010 during The X Factor before the group went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016. Former band member Liam Payne died in 2024 at the age of 31.
Styles also looked back on his own career, noting that it had been 16 years since The X Factor was filmed beside Wembley Stadium. He told fans that every visit to the venue brings back memories and said performing there continues to mean a great deal to him.
Since launching his solo career in 2017, Styles has won six Brit Awards, three Grammy Awards and two Ivor Novello Awards. His fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, was released in January.
Ahead of the final concert, Wembley Stadium unveiled a commemorative banner celebrating the record. In a post on X, the venue wrote: “12 shows. One record. A place in Wembley history.”
Styles will continue the Together, Together tour with performances in Brazil, Mexico and the United States before concluding the tour in Australia in December.
