The final round of the ‘Annual Cultural Competition 2025’ was held amid much enthusiasm at Habibullah Bahar College in Dhaka, with teachers and students taking part wholeheartedly, turning the campus into a festive hub.
The day-long event, held on Tuesday from morning until afternoon in the college auditorium, featured performances in singing, dancing, recitation, instrumental music, acting, and Hamd-Naat, among other categories. Students had undergone nearly two weeks of preparation and auditions to qualify for the final round.
Colonel (Retd) Imrul Kayes, Principal of the college, said, “Creative events like these are crucial for nurturing the hidden talents of our students. They not only boost confidence but also play a significant role in developing their skills.”
The final round was judged by distinguished figures from various institutions, including Shilpakala Padak recipient, Recitation Artist Mir Barkat; senior Tabla Instructor of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Md. Kamal Parvez; Senior Dance Artist and teacher of of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Irene Parvin of the Academy; Magic Bauliana-2014 champion , Diti Sarkar; and recipient of the Shahid Sufi Natya Chakra Award 2019, Taru Shahriar Swargo.
The closing ceremony, organised with the support of BRAC Bank, was attended by the college Governing Body Chairman Dr Md Taufiqul Islam Mithil, member Fazle Rubayet Pappu, and other invited guests.
