Digital education will become more accessible and affordable for students across Bangladesh as Grameenphone (GP) partners with Shikho to integrate premium courses into its platform.

The agreement was signed recently at GPHouse, the company said in a press release.

Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solaiman Alam and Shikho Founder and CEO Shahir Chowdhury signed the deal, with senior officials from both organisations present.

Premium Mathematics courses will be bundled into Grameenphone’s digital services and offered through the MyGP app at discounted rates under the partnership.

Students from Class 6 to 10, especially Secondary School Certificate candidates, will benefit from the initiative, while parents will gain access to more affordable academic support.

The collaboration responds to growing demand for digital learning and aims to improve access through technology, said Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solaiman Alam.

Structured academic content will be easier to access through integrated connectivity and payment options within the MyGP app for the company’s 22.3 million monthly active users, he said.

The initiative will enhance customer value and improve learning outcomes, he added.

Access to education will be simplified by bringing discovery, payment and learning into one platform, said Shikho Founder and CEO Shahir Chowdhury.

Millions of students will be able to access education more seamlessly and at scale through the integration, he added.
