Mohammedan Sporting Club lost 2–1 to Fortis FC in the Bangladesh Football League as Fortis kept their strong run going.

The win moved Fortis close to leaders Bashundhara Kings in the points table.

Fortis now have 21 points from 10 matches and sit in second place. Bashundhara Kings also have 21 points from 10 games. However, the Kings stay on top because of a better goal difference. Mohammedan are sixth with 10 points from 10 matches.

Mohammedan had more of the ball in the match. They kept possession for 55 percent of the time. They also took 16 shots at goal. Four of those shots were on target.

Fortis had the ball for 45 percent of the match. They looked more dangerous in attack. Fortis took 20 shots in total and six of them were on target.

Fortis took the lead in the 22nd minute. Gambian forward Essa Jallow scored the opening goal. No more goals came before the break. Fortis went into half time with a one goal lead.

Mohammedan tried hard to find the equaliser after the restart. But Fortis struck again. In the 52nd minute, Essa Jallow scored his second goal of the match.

Mohammedan pulled one goal back 12 minutes later. Jasurbek Muzaffarov scored from the penalty spot.

However, Mohammedan could not score again. Fortis held their lead and secured a 2–1 win.
