Bangladesh’s total foreign exchange reserves have increased to $27.672 billion as of June 25, according to Bangladesh Bank.
Speaking on Wednesday, central bank spokesperson and Executive Director Arif Hossain Khan confirmed that gross reserves on June 25 stood at $27.672 billion. Meanwhile, under the International Monetary Fund’s BPM6 accounting methodology, reserves were $22.652 billion.
As of June 24, gross reserves were $27.306 billion and $22.2457 billion as per the IMF BPM6 standard.
It is noteworthy that net reserves are calculated according to the IMF’s BPM6 guidelines, where short-term liabilities are deducted from gross reserves to show the actual usable reserve level.
