A fire erupted on the fourth floor of Block-A at Bangladesh Medical University (PG hospital) in the capital’s Shahbagh area on Wednesday.
A total of seven units of Fire Service rushed to the scene at 11:20am and brought the blaze under control at 11:32am. The blaze was later fully extinguished, officials said.
The fire broke out in the ceiling of the corridor adjacent to dental faculty classrooms on the fourth floor of Block‑A. No casualties were reported so far.
The Fire Service received the call at 11:14am.
