Three people including two engineers suffered burn injuries in a fire at a CNG filling station in the Kuril area of Dhaka. They have been admitted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.
The incident occurred around 7pm on Saturday in the Kuril Bishwa Road area.
The injured are Masud, 60, Shamsuzzoha, 25, and Lutfor, 30. Of them, Masud and Shamsuzzoha are engineers.
Abu Zafar, a technician at the filling station, said the fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit.
Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the National Institute, said Masud sustained burns on 15 percent of his body, Shamsuzzoha on 18 percent, and Lutfor on 7 percent. They are receiving treatment.
