Fans will get one last chance to buy tickets for this summer’s FIFA World Cup 2026. FIFA has set April 1 as the start date for the final sales phase.
FIFA said the last phase will begin at 9:00 p.m. BST (Bangladesh Standard Time) on April 1. It will stay open until the end of the tournament. This phase is open to all fans.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis through FIFA’s official website. Fans can choose their seats for available matches. They can also use a feature that picks the best seat for them.
FIFA said ticket supply may change often. New tickets will be added in stages. Some matches may even have tickets released on the same day.
FIFA will also reopen its official resale and exchange platform on April 2. This system helps stop fake or invalid ticket sales. Demand for tickets remains very high. FIFA expects the tournament to break the old attendance record of 3.5 million set in 1994.
The update came just one day after European fans filed a complaint over ticket prices. They said prices are much higher than before. Tickets for the final at MetLife Stadium on July 19 start at $4,185. This is about seven times higher than the cheapest ticket for the 2022 final in Qatar.
The 48 team tournament will begin on June 11. Matches will take place across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
