AB Bank PLC has elected Md Fazlur Rahman as the chairman of its Board of Directors effective from last Thursday.
Prior to his appointment as chairman, Fazlur served as the vice chairman of the bank, reads a press release.
He joined AB Bank as a vice president in 1997 and later served as the president and managing director of the bank from 2012 to 2014.
During his tenure, the bank achieved several notable financial milestones under his leadership.
Fazlur is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in banking, financial management, and strategic planning.
He has been widely recognised for his contributions to advancing the capital market and spearheading investment banking initiatives.
Besides his professional responsibilities, he has authored several analytical articles on banking and financial sector issues, which have been published in leading national daily newspapers in Bangladesh.
