The Central Executive Council Election-2025 for the Bangladesh Directorate General of Family Planning Employees’ Welfare Association was held smoothly and peacefully on Friday. The election took place from 8am to 4pm without any break, according to the schedule announced by a constitutionally formed five-member Election Commission.
Employees from various institutions, departments, districts, and upazilas of the Directorate participated spontaneously, casting their votes to choose a 41-member Central Executive Council. The Saidur-Imrul-Nesar Panel won the election by a large margin, said the press release. Mohammad Saidur Rahman Mazumdar (Kajal) was elected as President, Md. Imrul Islam as Executive President, and Md. Nesar Uddin as General Secretary, along with the other members of the full panel. They had contested against the Kawsar-Abrar-Majhar Panel.

To ensure a fair and smooth electoral process, the Director General of the Directorate formed an Election Monitoring Team comprising officers from the Directorate. Their sincerity, competence, and tireless efforts contributed significantly to the successful completion of the election, the press release noted.
Representatives from various reputed print and electronic media outlets in the country were also present to observe the election proceedings.
