Following morning prayers and time spent with family, residents of Madaripur headed out in search of leisure. On the afternoon of Eid day, overwhelming crowds were observed at various entertainment spots across the district’s four upazilas, including Kalkini-Dasar, Rajoir, Shibchar, and Sadar.

As the afternoon progressed, a surge of people began arriving at these centres. From cinema halls to the 7th China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge built over the Arial Khan River, Groin Square, and Shakuni Lake Park – all locations were packed with visitors. Many were seen heading to open-air spaces with their families and kinsfolk.

According to officials at the Madaripur Municipality Children’s Park, while they typically host a few hundred visitors on regular days, the numbers increased manifold on Eid day. For children, the park transformed into a separate festival as they delighted in their favourite rides.

Ultimately, away from the rigours of busy lives, people are seeking comfort, joy, and a bit of leisure during the Eid holidays. These small moments shared with family and loved ones are becoming the true essence of Eid joy.
