Sarjis Alam, the Chief Organiser of NCP for the northern region and the 10-party alliance candidate for the Panchagarh-1 constituency, has declared that the era of external interference in the nation’s internal affairs has ended.

He asserted that neither Sheikh Hasina nor any foreign agency or nation sitting in India or elsewhere will determine the destiny of the country.

The NCP leader made these remarks to journalists on Monday afternoon following a mass contact programme and a courtyard meeting held in the Tulardanga area of Panchagarh Municipality.

He underscored that younger generation remains vigilant and is prepared to take to the field whenever required. Alam further remarked that while many things can be said from abroad, the public will demonstrate their true stance should those individuals return to Bangladesh.

Regarding the electoral environment, Alam stated that the administration, various political parties, and those who participated in the mass uprising are united in their quest for a free, fair, and transparent election. He added that such a process is essential to move the democratic process forward.

In response to a press conference held by BNP, the NCP leader rejected claims of administrative bias. He suggested that if the BNP candidate for Panchagarh-1 believes the administration is assisting the NCP campaign, it is merely a “blame game” used to hide their own faults.
