A full-fledged executive committee of Bangladeshi Charu Shilpi Sangsad (BCSS) for the tenure 2025-2027 was announced on Saturday with Artist Syed Mohammad Ali Pappu as president and Artist Mizanur Rahman Mizan as general secretary through its council.
The committee comprising 73 members was formed in the presence of 91 artists, keeping Prof Dr Abdus Sattar, a country-famous artist, as its chief adviser, a press release signed by the Sangsad’s publicity and public relation secretary said.
Other office-bearers of the committee include: Anwar Hossain Jony (senior joint secretary), Mizan Mahmud, Mithun Datta, Pijush Talukdar and Gopal Nag (joint secretaries), Bulbul Ahmed (organising secretary), Sharif Ahmed (publicity secretary), Zakia Ahmed Jhuma (financial secretary) and Shamim Ahmed (literary secretary).
