Television channels across the country have curated a diverse array of programmes for the seven-day Eid celebrations, featuring single-episode dramas, films, telefilms, serials, magazine shows, musical performances, and dance recitals.

Here is a guide to the highlights scheduled for the first day of Eid.

Bangladesh Television (BTV)

The state broadcaster begins its festive transmission with the children’s magazine programme ‘Shishu Mela’ at 10:00 am, followed by a special dance programme at 11:00 am.

At 12:00 pm, the musical tribute ‘Ei Mon Tomake Dilam’, featuring songs by Gazi Mazharul Anwar, will be aired.

The afternoon and evening line-up includes a stand-up comedy show at 5:00 pm and the first episode of a celebrity chat show at 6:00 pm featuring Abul Hayat, Dilara Zaman, and Khurshid Alam.

Music lovers can tune into the band show ‘Pothchola’ at 7:00 pm. This will be followed by the drama ‘Miss Ekal Mr Sekal’ at 8:30 pm, the first episode of the special ‘Chhayachhanda’ at 9:30 pm, and the flagship magazine show ‘Anandamela’ at 10:00 pm.

ATN Bangla

ATN Bangla will air ‘Tarar Mela’ at 1:25 pm. The evening drama slot features ‘Matha Gorom Dobir’ starring Mosharraf Karim, Robena Reza Jui, and Samanta Parvez at 5:50 pm, followed by ‘Mamato Bon Jakhon Bou’ with Mosharraf Karim and Himi at 7:35 pm.

After the 8:50 pm drama ‘Bhalobeshe Obosheshe’, Monir Khan and Akhi Alamgir will perform in the musical programme ‘Music Vibes’ at 10:30 pm. The day’s transmission concludes with the telefilm ‘Malek Pagla’ starring Chanchal Chowdhury and Himi at 11:00 pm.

Banglavision

The channel’s morning schedule starts with ‘Amader Rannaghor’ at 11:05 am, followed by the telefilm ‘Tin Kana’ featuring Marzuk Russell, Chashi Alam, and Salha Khanom at 2:10 pm.

The afternoon features the Turkish dubbed serial ‘Jhanu Chor Chanu’ at 4:30 pm and the drama ‘Moner Moto Bou’ starring Niloy Alamgir and Maria Shanto at 5:35 pm.

Evening highlights include the special serial ‘Kajer Meye Orin’ at 6:40 pm and the drama ‘Bou Mon Bojhe Na’ starring Mosharraf Karim and Mihi Ahsan at 7:45 pm.

Later slots include the serial ‘Audio Phash’ at 8:40 pm, the drama ‘Mr Porishkar’ with Niloy Alamgir and Samira Khan Mahi at 9:25 pm, ‘Moner Boyos 16’ starring Mosharraf Karim and Himi at 10:45 pm, and ‘Futani Babu’ starring Mosharraf Karim and Tania Brishti at 11:45 pm.

Channel i

Channel i presents the drama ‘Beshi Bole Bulbuli 2’ starring Tawsif Mahbub and Totini at 2:30 pm, followed by ‘Family Man’ featuring Jovan, Totini, and Monira Mithu at 4:30 pm.

A special serial based on the ‘Chhotokaku’ series, titled ‘Kongo theke Bongo’, will air at 6:10 pm.

The night’s programming includes the drama ‘Sokhina’ starring Shyamal Mawla, Mousumi Mou, and Abul Hayat at 7:50 pm, and ‘Soral Satyabadi’ featuring Zakia Bari Mamo, Saika Ahmed, and Salahuddin Lavlu at 9:35 pm.
