Eastern University expresses its profound sorrow at the passing of Professor Dr AKM Saiful Majid, a distinguished academic and former Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees (BOT).
Professor Dr Majid passed away on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, at the age of 68, while undergoing treatment. His passing is met with deep grief across the university community. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un).
Dr AKM Saiful Majid was a former director of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at the University of Dhaka. He made significant contributions to business education and management in Bangladesh and played a key role in shaping the country’s higher education landscape.
