Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), in partnership with Visa, has launched the EBL Visa SME Credit Card, a dedicated financial product designed exclusively for sole proprietorship business loan customers. The dual-currency, EMV chip-secured Visa credit card aims to provide enhanced flexibility and convenience for business-related payments.
Key features of the card include a waiver of the issuance fee and annual fee on up to 24 transactions. Cardholders will also have the option to spend up to $3,000 annually for bona fide international expenses. Additionally, the card offers complimentary access to Skylounge for travellers, along with four Global Lounge visits per calendar year through Priority Pass. Cardholders can also benefit from EMI facilities via EBL ZIP at partnered electronics and furniture merchants.
The launch ceremony was recently held at the EBL Head Office in Gulshan, Dhaka, and attended by M Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking, Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards from EBL, Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan, and Ashish Chakraborty, Director – South Asia from Visa, among others.
This strategic partnership between EBL and Visa aims to cater to the growing needs of SME customers, offering them a tailored credit solution to enhance their business operations.
