According to a DMP statement, a large number of guests and officials are expected to gather in and around the parliament area throughout the day. To facilitate smooth movement of dignitaries and ensure public safety, temporary traffic restrictions will remain in force from 8am to 7pm on 17 February.

Commuters have been requested to avoid Manik Mia Avenue and Lake Road during this period and to strictly adhere to diversion instructions to minimize congestion. Police authorities have also sought cooperation from city residents to help ensure the smooth conduct of the state event.
