Singer, presenter and social worker Dithi Anwar recently brought together several familiar faces from Bangladesh’s music and entertainment industry for a warm gathering at her Gulshan residence in Dhaka.
After returning to Bangladesh a few days ago, Dithi has resumed her busy schedule, balancing new music releases with her responsibilities at the Film Certification Board and television work.
Amid these commitments, she invited some of her favourite people to her home last Saturday, creating an opportunity to reconnect over food and conversation.
Among the guests were singers Rumana Islam, Alam Ara Minu, Chhonda Moni, Ankhi Alamgir, Fatema Jahangir, Humaira Bashir, Anupama Mukti, Punam Priyam and Iti Mizan, along with several others.
Singer Chhonda Moni recalled the gathering fondly, describing it as a joyful afternoon filled with delicious food and the company of familiar, much-loved people.
“I attended the lunch at Dithi’s invitation last Saturday. There was wonderful food and a gathering of so many familiar, dear and beloved people. It was a truly joyful experience. Thank you, Dithi, for such a lovely arrangement and for giving us a time filled with affection. Some moments remain in our memories forever, and this was one of them,” she said.
Dithi was equally delighted that her guests had made time for the gathering despite their busy schedules. She said their presence and lively conversations filled her home with warmth and happiness.
“I was so happy that everyone accepted my invitation and came to my home despite their busy schedules. We spent a long time talking and chatting, filling the house with life. It is difficult to express in words how much the gathering meant to me. I extend my heartfelt gratitude and love to everyone. May Allah keep them all well and healthy,” she said.
The gathering offered Dithi and her guests a chance to enjoy each other’s company away from their professional commitments, turning an ordinary get-together into a cherished memory.
