The Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) has officially launched the poster for its 24th edition, setting the stage for one of the country’s most anticipated cultural events.
Scheduled to run from January 10 to 18, 2026, the festival returns with its guiding theme: Better Film, Better Audience and Better Society.
The official poster has been designed by Liton Kar.
Preparations are already well underway, with organisers gearing up to screen around 220 films representing nearly 75 countries.
As in previous years, DIFF will feature a wide range of competitive and non-competitive categories, including Asian Cinema, Retrospective, Tribute, Wide Angle, Bangladesh Panorama, Cinema of the World, Children’s Films, Women Filmmakers, Short and Independent Films, and Spiritual Films.
One of the key highlights will once again be the Twelfth Dhaka International Conference on Women in Cinema 2026, set to take place on January 11 and 12. The conference is expected to draw prominent women filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals from across the globe.
Screenings will be held at Alliance Française de Dhaka, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, and the auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum. All screenings are free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
With just weeks left, DIFF has urged cinephiles to start clearing their calendars to fully immerse themselves in the festival experience.
