A new poster of the much-awaited Bengali film Desu 7, starring Dev and Subhashree Ganguly, was unveiled on India’s Independence Day, giving fans a glimpse of the former on-screen couple’s chemistry.
The poster has sparked fresh discussion on social media, with audiences particularly drawn to the duo’s romantic appearance against the scenic backdrop of Ladakh.
Once one of Tollywood’s most talked-about on-screen and off-screen pairs, Dev and Subhashree are seen sharing an intimate moment on a cruiser bike.
Dev rests his head against Subhashree’s chest while embracing her, while she gently holds him close.
Subhashree appears in a thigh-slit gown paired with a leather jacket, while Dev sports a leather jacket and jeans.
The poster combines romance with an action-oriented visual style.
Sharing the poster, Subhashree wrote, “No matter how many obstacles come our way, nothing can separate you and me. Love in their eyes, fire in their veins. Get ready for a new chapter of romance and action.”
The poster quickly went viral, with fans expressing excitement at seeing the popular pairing together again.
Some fans also made humorous comments about Dev’s wife Rukmini Maitra and Subhashree’s husband, filmmaker Raj Chakrabarty.
Others praised the couple’s professionalism and their support for the actors’ reunion.
Dev and Subhashree previously shot a song for the film in Ladakh. Their goodbye hug at Kolkata airport after completing the shoot also generated considerable discussion online.
The new poster has now intensified interest in their on-screen reunion.
Their last film together, Dhumketu, was released last year, although it was actually shot in 2015.
As a result, Desu 7 marks their first new collaboration in around 11 years.
Desu 7 also marks Dev’s directorial debut.
The film is produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures, with Gurupada Adhikari and Dev Adhikari serving as producers, and SSR Cinemas as co-producer.
The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on 16 October 2026, during the Puja festivities.
