Four more people have died of dengue and 1,558 others were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The DGHS Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room released the figures in a dengue bulletin on Sunday.
Among the newly hospitalised patients, 137 were in Barishal division, 169 in Chattogram, 316 in Dhaka division outside the city corporations, 193 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 148 in Dhaka South City Corporation.
Khulna recorded the highest number of admissions, with 334 patients, followed by Dhaka division outside the city corporations with 316 and Chattogram with 169.
Mymensingh reported 84 new admissions, Rajshahi 112, Rangpur 56 and Sylhet nine.
With the latest figures, the number of dengue patients hospitalised across the country this year has reached 42,590 as of 6 September.
The total number of deaths from dengue this year has risen to 117, according to the DGHS.
