The 7th death anniversary of Md Habibur Rahman, a distinguished banker and former managing director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, will be observed tomorrow, June 21, 2026.
He passed away on this day in 2019 at the age of 65 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital.
His family has requested all to pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and seek forgiveness for him from Almighty Allah.
Md Habibur Rahman served as managing director of Al-Arafah Islami Bank from July 2013 to September 2018. Prior to that, he worked as deputy managing director of Islami Bank Bangladesh.
He began his banking career in 1978 as a probationary officer at Sonali Bank. During his 41-year professional career, he held various important positions in the banking sector.
He was born in Barishal on January 1, 1954.
