Detective Branch (DB) personnel came under attack during an anti-drug drive in Tongi under Gazipur City Corporation on Wednesday night.
Police later used sound grenades to bring the situation under control.
A total of 28 people were arrested in connection with the incident.
Police said the attack took place at Keranirtek under Tongi East Police Station. A DB team, led by Assistant Commissioner (DB South) of Gazipur Metropolitan Police Asabur Rahman, was conducting a drive at the house of listed drug trader Runa Begum in the evening.
