The court has summoned Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian to explain his role in allowing a murder suspect to speak to the media.
The directive follows reports that Limon Mia, accused in the murder of a judge’s son, was allowed to speak to the media while in police custody and allegedly blamed the victim, raising concerns over police conduct.
The commissioner is scheduled to appear on November 19. The order was issued on Saturday, according to Ali Ashraf Masum, public prosecutor at Rajshahi Metropolitan Court.
