Community Bank Bangladesh has launched “Startup Nest”, Bangladesh’s first bank-led accelerator program exclusively designed for startups.
The program was inaugurated during the Bank’s 6th anniversary celebration at Hotel Intercontinental, Dhaka, in the presence of the Bank’s Board of Directors.
Baharul Alam, BPM, Inspector General of Bangladesh Police and Chairman Community Bank, officially launched the program in front of distinguished guests, entrepreneurs, and business leaders.
Startup Nest aims to offer more than traditional financing by creating a supportive ecosystem for startups, providing them with access to capital, banking solutions, mentorship, and market connections.
Unlike conventional funding models, the accelerator integrates startups into the Bank’s operational and institutional ecosystem, offering quick access to banking services and fintech infrastructure.
Participating startups will have the ability to open accounts and integrate payment and collection systems with ease, and will also receive training on financial management, corporate skills, regulatory compliance, and operational scaling.
The program also emphasizes strategic connectivity, linking startups to the Bank’s corporate and SME clients, enabling business partnerships and growth.
Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) Community Bank Bangladesh, said, “Startup Nest is not just a financial initiative; it’s a comprehensive platform that provides structure, guidance, and access to the country’s entrepreneurs.”
The launch of Startup Nest establishes Community Bank as a pioneer in redefining the role of banking institutions in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
