Channel i is set to present a packed Eid-ul-Azha special schedule, featuring eight days of programming that includes the television premieres of seven new films.
As part of the festive arrangement, Channel i’s programme department has confirmed that a new film will be aired daily from Eid day to the seventh day of the festival at 10:15 am.
Kicking off the lineup on Eid day at 10:15am will be the world television premiere of the film ‘NeelChokro’.
The film stars Arifin Shuvoo in the lead role, alongside Mandira Chakraborty, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shirin Alam, Khaleda Aktar Kolpona, Shahed Ali, Priyonti Urbi and Masum Reza.
The screenplay has been written by Nazim Ud Daula and Mithu Khan, who also directed the film. Released in cinemas during last year’s Eid-ul-Azha, the film is now set for its television debut one year later during the same festive period.
A suspense thriller, NeelChokro revolves around a video that suddenly changes the course of several people’s lives. As personal videos spread across the city, fear builds and a web of mystery and darkness unfolds.
Director Mithu Khan said the film is built around themes of mystery and darkness while also exploring an underworld rarely depicted in Bangla cinema.
He further noted that the story is centred on a sensitive and real-life inspired issue involving a blue film racket. According to him, the subject is both bold and timely in its treatment.
