Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus called an emergency meeting regarding preparations to handle earthquake risks.
The meeting was held at the Chief Adviser’s Office on Monday.
The Chief Adviser’s Press Wing reported that experts from relevant sectors and concerned officials attended this high-level meeting.
The Chief Adviser held the meeting to address the risks following Friday’s earthquakes, which struck large parts of the country within hours of each other and resulted in 10 deaths. The largest tremor that day measured 5.7 on the Richter scale.
Since then, a sense of panic has been prevailing among the general public. Various types of information and misinformation are circulating on social media.
