Zahed Ur Rahman, the prime minister’s adviser on information and broadcasting, said AC (Air Conditioner) bus fares will be set by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority before the Eid‑ul‑Azha
He told a press briefing at the Secretariat Tuesday that fares must be adjusted in line with higher fuel prices.
The BRTA is holding talks with bus owners’ associations over their proposed rates, he noted.
He added the government will strictly ensure fares are not set unreasonably.
