Shobnom Bubly’s Kolkata project ‘Flashback’, which was completed two years ago, is finally set for release. The film had been delayed due to various issues, but producer Rashed Raha has now confirmed that it will arrive in West Bengal in May. Plans are also underway for a release in Bangladesh.

Rashed Raha said the film is expected to be released after the results of the West Bengal assembly elections are announced. Following discussions with the production company, the official release date will be declared soon. The process for a Bangladesh release will begin thereafter.

The thriller features Bubly alongside acclaimed West Bengal filmmaker and actor Kaushik Ganguly and actor Sourav Das. The screenplay has been written by Khairul Bashar Nirjhor.

In the film, Bubly plays Shweta, a filmmaker. Kaushik Ganguly appears as Anjan, while Sourav Das takes on the role of DK. The narrative follows three individuals from different walks of life whose paths intersect in a hill town, setting the story on an unexpected course.

Meanwhile, Bublyi’s other film ‘Sardarbarir Khela’ is scheduled to be released in Bangladesh on May 8. Based on the folk tradition of Lathi Khela, the film stars Ziaul Roshan opposite her and is directed by Rakhal Sabuj. The cast also includes Shahiduzzaman Selim and Azad Abul Kalam.

However, Buby’s absence from the promotional activities of Sardarbarir Khela has drawn attention. Speculation has been circulating since the beginning of the year that she may be expecting her second child, although the actress has not made any public statement on the matter.
