Bangladesh Television (BTV) will air a special Eid-ul-Azha magazine programme titled ‘Anandamela’, featuring a line-up of popular performers from film, music and dance, on Eid day at 10 pm.
The special programme, hosted by actor Afran Nisho, brings together a range of well-known names from the country’s entertainment industry for festive performances, musical renditions and dance segments.
Among the highlights, legendary singer Runa Laila will present a new version of ‘Ei Brishti Bheja Raate’ with special choreography. Playback singer Baby Naznin will perform ‘Kal Sararaat Chilo Shopner Raat’, while actors Chandni and Shawon will appear in a joint performance.
Veteran singer Ferdous Wahid is also set to appear in the programme, alongside new musical performances such as ‘Krishnochura’ by Nancy and Imran.
Dance performances will include a range of staged acts, with Sadia Islam Mou performing in ‘Rupnogorer Rajkonna’. Actors Mehazabien Chowdhury and Sabila Nur will also appear in a dance segment to ‘Dur Deepobashini’, while actress Pori Moni will feature in a special segment.
The programme will additionally include a quiz and other entertainment sections.
Anandamela is produced by Afroza Sultana, Hasan Riad and Yasmin Akter, who expressed hope that the mix of music, dance and comedy will enhance Eid celebrations for viewers.
