The British Council has announced the opening of applications for the Study UK Alumni Awards 2026.
These awards aim to recognize UK alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities, industries, and countries.
The awards are presented in four categories: Science and Sustainability, Culture, Creativity and Sport, Social Action, and Business and Innovation.
Eligible applicants will compete at both national and global levels, with winners selected by a panel of judges.
The national winners for Bangladesh will be announced in December 2025, while global winners will be celebrated in August 2026.
Winners will gain international recognition and the opportunity to expand their professional networks through a dedicated UK networking visit.
Applications are open until 16 October 2025, with a national ceremony to honor Bangladesh’s finalists.
Stephen Forbes, Country Director Bangladesh, British Council, emphasized the positive impact of UK education on alumni’s careers and contributions to society.
Last year, over 1,300 applications were received from alumni in nearly 100 countries.
The Study UK Alumni Awards provide a platform for alumni to showcase their achievements and raise their international profiles.
This year’s awards continue to celebrate alumni who are driving innovation and shaping industries worldwide.
Through the awards, alumni will have the chance to be recognized for their work and inspire the next generation of leaders.
