The Career Development and Community Awareness Club (CDCA) of the School of Law at Bangladesh Open University (BOU) organised a webinar on Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) examination preparation and guidance in Dhaka on Sunday.
Jibon Nahar Nayan, Judge at the Netrokona District and Sessions Judge’s Court, was the keynote speaker at the webinar, reads a press release.
She stressed the importance of regular and rigorous study, having a clear understanding of the syllabus and mastering key laws to succeed in the BJS examination.
She also advised students to stay away from social media, study by taking notes and take proper care of their health.
The webinar was moderated by Richimoni Proma, lecturer at the School of Law and coordinator of CDCA. She said candidates need to have a strong work ethic and a mindset prepared for hard work and sacrifice to succeed in competitive examinations like the BJS.
In her closing remarks, Nahid Ferdousi, dean of the School of Law and chair of the programme, said such initiatives are important for students’ career development.
She said CDCA is providing students with guidance on career preparation in various fields, including the BJS, legal profession, research and academia. She also expressed her gratitude and thanked the keynote speaker.
Students took part in a question-and-answer session during the webinar, and the keynote speaker responded to their queries. Around 100 students from law departments across the country participated in the webinar.
