UCB Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) to integrate its banking services into BIDA’s Online One Stop Service (OSS) Portal. This collaboration is aimed at simplifying and accelerating the foreign investment process in Bangladesh, ensuring enhanced efficiency, transparency, and seamless access to both regulatory and financial services.

The signing ceremony took place at BIDA’s headquarters, where Jiban Krishna Saha, director general of BIDA, and Adnan Masud, additional managing director of UCB, formalised the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The event was presided over by, Air Commodore, Saharul Huda (Retd), executive director of BIDA.

Among those present at the ceremony were Md Shahinuzzaman, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, Shahbaz Talat, head of transaction banking division at UCB, along with other senior officials.

BIDA’s OSS Portal is the government’s flagship digital platform, providing over 50 services, including company registration, utility connections, and import clearance. Through this integration, UCB will offer direct banking services and end-to-end documentation support within a unified digital framework, improving the overall investment experience.
