The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has set up a four-member committee to recover outstanding dues amounting to more than Tk 10 crore, following an emergency executive committee meeting held online on 22 February 2026.
BFF president Tabith Awal joined the meeting from Thailand.
The meeting was primarily convened to review the federation’s 2024 audit report and ensure its timely submission to FIFA.
According to sources present at the meeting, the BFF generated Tk 38 crore in income in 2024, while expenditure totalled Tk 33 crore, resulting in a surplus of Tk 5 crore.
This marks a significant turnaround from 2023, when the federation recorded a deficit of Tk 19 crore.
The newly formed committee will oversee and pursue outstanding payments owed to the federation from 2024 and previous years.
Discussions indicated that the committee will include Tabith Awal, vice-president Naser Shahriar Zahedi, and two other executive committee members.
The federation is reportedly owed nearly Tk 6 crore by K-Sports, owned by BFF vice-president Fahad Karim, and by the Bashundhara Group, where senior vice-president Imrul Hasan is employed.
K-Sports has argued that the BFF is not entitled to the money due to an alleged breach of contract. Meanwhile, Bashundhara Kings, a club under the Bashundhara Group umbrella, claims it is owed prize money and participation fees from various leagues and tournaments organised by the federation.
