The Bangladesh Cricket Board made several major decisions at the fourth meeting of its ad hoc committee on Wednesday in Mirpur.
The meeting took place at the BCB Management Office inside the Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
One of the biggest decisions was finalising the list of associations, clubs, and organisations that will nominate 192 councillors under three categories.
BCB will now send letters to those bodies and ask them to submit councillor names by 16 May.
The board also decided to review applicants for 64 district coach posts through a full assessment process. A special committee will handle the selection process after the contracts of current district coaches end.
Applicants will face both written and practical tests. BCB also extended the contracts of match referees and umpires for another three months.
Their previous contracts expired on 30 April. These steps are part of BCB’s ongoing work to strengthen its structure and prepare for future operations.
