The Bangladesh Cricket Board has named the Election Commission for the upcoming Board of Directors Election in 2025. The announcement came from Dhaka on Saturday, 6 September.
The Commission will oversee and complete the entire election process as per the rules of the BCB constitution. The board confirmed that three respected figures have been chosen for the task.
Senior lawyer Advocate Mohammod Hossain will serve as the Chief Election Commissioner. He is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
Md Sibgat Ullah, Additional Inspector General of Police and Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department, has been appointed as an Election Commissioner.
Another Election Commissioner will be the Executive Director of the National Sports Council, who is also a Joint Secretary.
The BCB said the appointments mark the beginning of the official preparations for the 2025 election.
