The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed a new National Selection Panel on Monday with former Bangladesh captain Habibul Bashar as Chairman. Joining him on the panel are Naeem Islam and Nadif Chowdhury.
Bashar, brings extensive experience to the role. He has previously served as a national selector for both the Bangladesh men’s and women’s teams.
Former Bangladesh pacer Hasibul Hossain, who was part of the previous selection panel under Gazi Ashraf Hossain since September 2025.
The panel also includes Nadif Chowdhury. Who has extensive experience spanning 20 years, including appearances in T20 internationals for Bangladesh.
After retirement, he has been involved in talent development as an Age Group Selector under the BCB.
The tenure of the new panel will continue until the selection of the Bangladesh squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027, which will be held in Africa in October and November 2027.
