Basmati kacchi was the most ordered food item on online food delivery platform foodpanda in Bangladesh in 2025, according to the company’s newly released annual data.
The data showed that Bangladeshi cuisine remained the most popular choice on the platform, with plain paratha and chicken chap also ranking among the top-ordered items during the year.
On average, customers ordered food from at least four different restaurants in 2025, indicating a growing tendency to explore multiple outlets. The most unique order of the year was recorded as an egg and sausage wrap.
Fridays accounted for the highest number of food orders on the platform, while October emerged as the busiest month of the year.
Alongside food delivery, grocery orders also increased through foodpanda’s dark store service pandamart, partner supermarkets and its private label brand Bright.
The most ordered grocery item was Bright Farms Diamond Egg, followed by Bright Farms Diamond Potato and sugar.

The data also recorded several notable moments, including a delivery completed in one minute. The platform received its first order of 2026 exactly at midnight.
foodpanda Bangladesh said in a statement that the 2025 data reflected changing consumer behaviour, with customers continuing to prefer traditional food items while increasingly experimenting with new restaurants and relying more on quick-access grocery essentials.
