The Habibul Bashar Sumon-led selection panel will announce the squad as the New Zealand team arrives in Bangladesh on April 13 to play two white-ball series.
After three ODIs, they will also play a three-match T20 series. The six matches across the two formats will be held in Dhaka and Chattogram.
Bashar will serve as the chairman of the national selection panel. Hasibul Hossain Shanto has already been appointed as an assistant selector.
According to BCB sources, former cricketer Naeem Islam is leading for the other assistant selector position. Nadif Chowdhury could be seen as the fourth selector.
Although BCB has not officially announced anything, it is expected to release a notification within the next two to three days.
The tenure of chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu with the national team is ending this month. After the series win against Pakistan, he has also stepped down from his role with the players.
However, before Lipu’s term ended, BCB has already selected the new chief selector and assistant selectors. They had previously issued a notification for this purpose.
