Barcelona beat Real Betis in La Liga at the Nou Camp on Sunday, with Raphinha scoring twice as Hansi Flick’s side completed a 19-game perfect home record in the 2025-26 season. Joao Cancelo also scored, while Isco converted a penalty for the visitors.
Barcelona took control in the 28th minute when Raphinha scored direct from a free-kick, beating Alvaro Valles at his near side. He struck again in the 62nd minute after intercepting a loose pass from Hector Bellerin inside the Betis half and finishing from close range.
Betis pulled a goal back minutes later when Gavi brought down Isco inside the box. The former Real Madrid midfielder converted the penalty to reduce the deficit.
Barcelona restored their two-goal advantage soon after through Cancelo. The defender cut inside from distance and curled a shot into the bottom corner from around 20 yards.
The result confirmed Barcelona as the first team to win all 19 home matches in a 38-game La Liga season. They became only the 11th side in league history to achieve a perfect home record. Real Madrid last managed the feat in 1985-86. Barcelona last did so in 1959-60.
Flick’s side have used three home venues this season, including the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the Barcelona Olympic Stadium, and the Nou Camp. They lost twice at home in other competitions, both in the Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid.
Robert Lewandowski received a warm reception when substituted late on. The 37-year-old has scored 119 goals in 191 games since joining in 2022 and will leave the club this summer.
Barcelona finish their league season away to Valencia next Saturday at 20:00 BST.
