Banks and stock exchanges will resume regular operations on Monday after a seven-day Eid-ul-Azha holiday.
Bangladesh Bank said all public and private banks will reopen with regular transaction hours following the extended closure for the religious festival.
Customers will be able to carry out banking transactions from 10 am to 3 pm, while banks will remain open until 5 pm.
Trading will also resume on the Dhaka and Chattogram stock exchanges after their last closing bells on 24 May, before the country entered Eid-ul-Azha holidays from May 25 to 31.
Government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private offices also remained closed during the same period.
To accommodate the extended holiday, the weekly holiday on Saturday, 23 May, was cancelled earlier.
In line with the government decision, Bangladesh Bank issued separate directives regarding holidays for banks and other financial institutions.
Bangladesh observed Eid-ul-Azha on 28 May.
