Banglalink has launched a special data campaign marking International Mother Language Day, offering a symbolic 21GB bonus aligned with the national observance of 21 February, the company said in a press release.
Under the offer, customers purchasing the Tk598 package, which includes 30GB valid for 30 days, will receive an additional 21GB bonus, taking the total allocation to 51GB.
The campaign will run nationwide from 20 February to 23 February for eligible prepaid and business-to-consumer postpaid subscribers.
Customers can purchase the package through the MyBL app and mobile financial service platforms including bKash, Nagad, Rocket and Upay.
The company said the 21GB bonus symbolises 21 February and commemorates the Language Movement martyrs who sacrificed their lives to defend the right to speak Bangla, a day globally recognised as International Mother Language Day.
Banglalink Chief Marketing Officer Kazi Mahboob Hassan said the initiative aims to connect digital engagement with national identity.
“International Mother Language Day reminds us that language is more than a means of communication. It forms the foundation of our history, culture and unity. At Banglalink, we believe connectivity should empower people to express themselves freely, to learn, to share and to stay close to what matters most in the language they cherish. Through this symbolic 21GB initiative, we aim to honour the spirit of 21 February while enabling meaningful digital participation across the country,” he said.
The company said the time-bound offer is designed to reinforce customer engagement during a period of national reflection while supporting continued digital participation.
Banglalink, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed global digital operator VEON, describes itself as a digital operator offering services including the MyBL super-app, entertainment platform Toffee and artificial intelligence-powered digital lifestyle package RYZE.
