Banglalink and Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited have partnered to support Bangladesh’s first cohort of professional female painters, aiming to expand women’s participation in a profession traditionally dominated by men.

The collaboration, announced on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, will provide technical training, digital connectivity, financial access and health support to help the painters work as independent professionals, Banglalink said in a press release.

Under the initiative, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited has delivered technical training through Berger Training Institutes, equipping participants with professional painting skills and preparing them for the workforce.

Banglalink will complement the training by providing digital connectivity and financial access to help the painters build sustainable livelihoods.

Each participant will receive a Banglalink SIM card to maintain a dedicated business contact and communicate with customers seeking painting services through Berger Experience Zone outlets.

The telecom operator will also facilitate smartphone access through an instalment arrangement by covering the initial down payment so that the painters can access online learning resources and promote their services digitally.

Participants will also be onboarded as agents on the BL Power App, enabling them to earn commissions by providing mobile recharge services through their smartphones.

The initiative also includes one year of unlimited doctor consultations through the MyBL App in partnership with CliniCall.

Participants will receive health insurance coverage of up to Tk1,00,000 with an in-patient claim limit of Tk25,000 along with life insurance coverage.

“Digital inclusion can open new pathways for women to build independent and sustainable livelihoods,” said Banglalink Chief Marketing Officer Kazi Mahboob Hassan.

“Through this partnership with Berger Paints, we are standing beside these pioneering women with connectivity, digital tools, financial access and wellbeing support so they can grow their professional journey with confidence,” he added.

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited Chief Marketing Officer Salahuddin Ahmed said the initiative aims to create new opportunities for skilled women while strengthening services offered through Berger Experience Zone outlets.

“Through Express Painting Service by female painters, we are creating opportunities for skilled women while offering added comfort and confidence to customers,” he said.

The initiative also reflects efforts by the two companies to encourage women’s participation in nontraditional professions while promoting inclusive economic opportunities through corporate collaboration.
