Bangladesh’s largest tourism event, the Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2025, will take place from October 30 at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Dhaka. Organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the fair will run for three days, showcasing the country’s growing tourism industry to a global audience.
At a press meet on Monday, TOAB President Md. Rafeuzjaman revealed that this year’s event will be the 13th edition of the fair, which promises to be larger and more dynamic than ever before. “We aim to showcase Bangladesh’s tourism potential to the world, attracting international exhibitors and visitors,” he said.
The fair has garnered support from key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, and Bangladesh Tourism Board. This year’s fair will also feature new participants, including Turkish Airlines, marking its first appearance at the event.
Md. Taslim Amin Shobhon, Director (Trade & Fair) of TOAB, highlighted that the fair will offer 220 stalls across four pavilions. These will include international and domestic airlines, travel agencies, tour operators, and hospitality services. A dedicated zone for medical tourism will also be featured for the first time.
“We are also focusing on sustainable tourism, ensuring that our industry grows without compromising the environment. The fair will be plastic-free, and we’ll have tree-planting activities in all eight divisions of Bangladesh,” Md. Rafeuzjaman added.
The event will showcase a range of tourism-related services, from cultural tourism to eco-tourism, and will have special activities like a competition for travel photos, videos, and stories, with prizes for the winners.
The fair’s digital presence has also been upgraded this year, with an app launched to help visitors navigate the event. “For the first time in Bangladesh, an app for the fair has been introduced, making it easier for both exhibitors and visitors to access information and navigate the venue,” said Md. Yunus, Director of Media & Public Relations, TOAB.
Along with local and international exhibitors, tourism associations from Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka will also participate. The fair will provide a platform for networking, discussions, and B2B sessions to encourage collaboration and investment in Bangladesh’s tourism sector.
Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed at the event, focusing on areas such as sustainable tourism, medical tourism, and digital promotion.
The event is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors, with more than 250 exhibitors from over 20 countries. The government’s support and the participation of major international players underscore the significance of BTTF as a platform for boosting Bangladesh’s tourism industry.
