Marvel fans in Bangladesh are in for a treat as Spider-Man: Brand New Day will arrive in local cinemas a day before its international release.
While the latest instalment of the beloved superhero franchise is set to open globally on 31 July, audiences in Bangladesh will be able to watch it at Star Cineplex from 30 July.
The film marks the 38th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film also sees the return of Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk.
Several new faces join the franchise.
Ahsoka actor Eman Esfandi plays MJ’s new boyfriend after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, while Stranger Things star Sadie Sink takes on a mysterious new role.
One of the biggest surprises for Marvel fans is the return of Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, bringing the fan-favourite character back to the big screen.
Set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the story follows Peter Parker after Doctor Strange’s spell erased the world’s memory of his identity.
Now completely alone, Peter protects New York anonymously as Spider-Man while facing a dangerous new threat and coping with the emotional burden of his isolated life.
The film promises a more mature and independent Peter as he navigates new personal and superhero challenges.
Beyond its story, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is also making headlines for its technical innovation.
It is the first feature film produced entirely under the “Shot for ScreenX” initiative.
The ScreenX format expands scenes onto the side walls of the cinema auditorium, offering a 270-degree panoramic viewing experience that immerses audiences far beyond the traditional cinema screen.
Excitement surrounding the film has been building for months.
Its first trailer reportedly attracted more than 718 million views within the first 24 hours, setting a new record and fuelling anticipation among Marvel fans worldwide.
Advance ticket sales have also been strong, with industry observers predicting another major box-office success for the web-slinger.
With its early release, Bangladeshi audiences will once again be among the first in the world to experience Marvel’s newest adventure on the big screen.
