Bangladesh’s Asian Cup qualifying exit already stands confirmed, but Jamal Bhuyan’s side still have one final task ahead when they face Singapore in March, with preparation plans now locked in by the Bangladesh Football Federation.
The national team will begin camp on 20 March before travelling to Singapore on 28 March. The final Group C match will kick off on 31 March, closing Bangladesh’s qualification campaign.
BFF also confirmed a warm-up fixture before departure. Bangladesh will face either Cambodia or Timor-Leste at the Sylhet Stadium, a game designed to sharpen match fitness rather than rewrite destiny.
Group C has already separated itself. Singapore lead with 11 points, Hong Kong sit second on eight, while Bangladesh hold third place with five points from one win and two draws.
That table still offers a small incentive. Bangladesh can finish above India if they avoid defeat against Singapore, a psychological boost in a campaign that otherwise promised more than it delivered.
Singapore, meanwhile, need only to avoid defeat to book their Asian Cup ticket. Hong Kong still lurk mathematically, but the equation remains firmly in Singapore’s favour.
Bangladesh lost 2–1 to Singapore at home earlier in the group. This return fixture offers no qualification miracle, but it does offer a chance for response, pride, and a reminder that progress does not always move in straight lines.
