Bangladesh and Azerbaijan have agreed to establish resident diplomatic missions in each other’s capitals as the two countries move to deepen bilateral relations and expand diplomatic engagement.

The decision was taken during a telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Thursday afternoon, according to a press release.

During the talks, Bayramov congratulated Rahman on his election as President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
